Experience Everywhere is right around the corner, and this year’s lineup is jampacked with some of the most successful companies on the front lines of Digital Employee Experience.

On November 17, attendees will hear from Ivo Gudelj, Head of Service Integration at E.ON, one of the world’s largest private energy companies focused on energy networks, customer solutions and renewable energy.

Ivo will discuss how E.ON’s experience-driven strategy aims to foster a meaningful dialogue and trust between IT and employees, while positioning IT as a critical driver of informed action and continuous innovation within the business.

Since we’re so excited for Experience Everywhere, we spoke with Ivo to get a sneak preview of some of the topics he’ll be discussing during the event.

Keep reading, and be sure not to miss Ivo’s full session – Powered by Experience: An Exclusive Interview with E.ON – with Nexthink’s CRO, Jeff Mitchell!

Tell us a bit about E.ON’s mission and what it means to be an IT-driven culture?

We’re responsible for driving digital transformation across all of E.ON’s international business operations. Our mission is for IT to be a prominent part of E.ON’s culture; we want users to truly love IT, and you can only reach that goal by placing a major emphasis on experience.

An IT-driven culture is one where IT aren’t just viewed as support workers. Instead, they’re what we like to call ‘experience consultants’ – the department that has a deep understanding of employee experience, and can share data, insights, and guidance across the business to support positive transformation.

How did the pandemic impact this evolution? Did you have to entirely rethink your approach to employee experience?

Well, the pandemic really highlighted what was always the most important priority: enabling users to work productively and safely.

Digital transformation accelerated a great deal as a result of the pandemic, and IT was really responsible for keeping the lights on. Beyond all the obvious changes – supporting remote work, adopting new technologies – I think this time has really increased the importance of empowering users. Giving employees more control over their experiences through improved self-service and other IT efforts.

There were new challenges to adapt to during the pandemic, of course, but our core priority is still the same: providing services that focus on what matters to our users, that help them have great experiences and be successful.

What else can attendees expect to hear during your session at Experience Everywhere?

Sustainability and green IT – which has been a very important priority for E.ON. And this is a topic that I believe every company should be considering today. We should all be thinking about the pivotal roles we play in affecting the environment and the things we can do as businesses to be a positive force for climate protection.

At E.ON, we’ve been able to play a big part in Europe’s green energy transition and have developed a renewable energy infrastructure that is really going to help pave the way for a more sustainable future.

No matter what services companies provide – there are things any business and any IT team can implement to reduce their carbon footprint and promote better environmental responsibility. So I’m looking forward to sharing our story, and to hearing many other great stories from others at the event!
