s.Oliver integrates IT Operations Analytics, the company optimizes its already mature IT
Lausanne, Switzerland – Nexthink®, provider of End-user IT Analytics today announced its collaboration with the international fashion and lifestyle company s.Oliver. With its partner Consulting4IT, Nexthink provides IT Analytics across the enterprise to provide a comprehensive and continuous analysis of the performance of all IT processes from the end-user perspective.
s.Oliver already had sophisticated methods to measure the performance of the network and the state of the servers. A valid evaluation from the end-user perspective, however, had not been possible so far with the traditional methods. s.Oliver was looking for an innovative way to obtain transparency on the availability of applications and the performance of all the services that provided by the servers for the end-users. Traditional methods provided visibility from the server perspective, but not the availability of services. If a service was having issues on the end-user client, for example, if the VPN software crashed, this remained unnoticed until now. Moreover, a solution was needed that could provide a link with what was the available in the IT.
Another requirement of the desired solution was to ensure a smooth adaptation of the version numbers used and concretely specified by Internet Explorer (IE) for each ERP release update. In addition, it was necessary for a rollout at all times to maintain the original version in order to guarantee the availability and to prevent any manipulation by the end-user. With the use of Nexthink IT Analytics not only have all requirements have been met, but there were further improvements made throughout the IT infrastructure.
“With Nexthink IT Analytics we can finally diagnose performance problems from the end-user perspective and a unique classification of incidents allows us to respond effectively. We are no longer dependent on vague error descriptions from our end-users. We can now ensure we have reliable data for Incident Management. In addition, by collecting data in across our environment, proactive action become possible,” says Marius Förster, Manager IT Operations, s.Oliver.
“With Nexthink we have helped our customers s.Oliver to finally obtain the desired transparency on the last mile of the client to provide the end-user perspective. Also with the introduction of the solution we could achieve an optimization of service quality in the first-level support,” says Mirko Osterhaus, Managing Director at Consulting4IT.
s.Oliver was founded by Bernd Freier in 1969. Within a few decades, the s.Oliver Group has developed into a leading fashion company in Europe. The Group reported 2014 sales of € 1.62 billion and employs around 7,600 employees internationally. In addition to the brands s.Oliver, s.Oliver DENIM, s.Oliver and PREMIUM TRIANGLE including comma and LIEBESKIND Berlin belong to the company’s portfolio.
